Our Therapy Dog in Training

Bracket is a 4-month-old mini golden doodle! He is a gentle, affectionate and energetic friend here at Johnson Elite Orthodontics, and is currently completing basic training school as well as therapy dog training. He is here to make your appointment more comfortable and your experience at our office more enjoyable.

Bracket learned to sit at 9 weeks old! He loves playing fetch with his ball, cuddling and eating. He also loves chasing laser pointers and could do that for hours. His favorite treat is freeze-dried beef liver, and he loves to watch Bluey when he is off the clock.

Why A Therapy Dog?

When considering how to make your visits as stress-free as possible, our orthodontist and team knew that we wanted to find a way to help you relax and focus on something unrelated to your treatment or your anxiety. Research has shown that simply seeing a dog has positive effects, and petting one greatly improves your emotional wellbeing, health and state of mind. Many studies have shown that therapy animals provide emotional, psychological and physical support to those who need it, offering benefits such as:

In addition to being a positive, friendly addition to our office, Bracket will also train to be obedient and gentle with his human friends, providing therapeutic interactions the lead to less fear and more fun.
